“West On Grit wins A1 Salvage and Hardware Great Western Final”

Nambeelup based leading trainer Chris Halse took out tonight’s WA Bred Feature event over 405m, the Great Western Final. Joint favourites Bamsy’s Boy (box three) and West On True (box four) contested the lead at the first turn but tangled with each other and both lost all chance of winning. This interference allowed West On Grit to take the lead just before half way and Vitalogy gave pursuit. Turning for home Vitalogy hooked off the leader’s heels to challenge but couldn’t reel in West On Grit who scored by a length in 22.76. Vitalogy finished second and was two lengths ahead of the fast finishing Fearless Eagles in third position. West On Grit is raced by Gary Weston, Craig Weston, Linda Britton and Chris Halse. He has now started 20 times for 8 wins and 8 minor placings.

“Astrophysic makes amends and runs new PB”

The greatest 405m performer in history, Astrophysic posted a new PB tonight when an all the way winner of the Prime Trophies Free For All.
