“Tiger Town takes out Keith Harding Trophy for Shayne Williams”

Strong sprinter Tiger Town began well from box six before reeling in leader Makuru to take out tonight’s feature event the Keith Harding Canning Trophy. Nambeelup based trainer Shayne Williams made it back to back victories in the race after Rippin’ Memphis won last year in 29.77. Tonight’s winning time of 29.86 was solid and the win took Tiger Town’s career earnings over $66,000. He was always going to be strong at the finish given his ability over 600m and Makuru isn’t known for his strength at the end of 520m. The margin was one length and a further five lengths away in third was Super Zoom Jake.

Race 1 Number 6 BUBBLES AWAY : Rocketed out of the boxes and clocked 5.47 to the first turn before winning in 29.87.

Race 3 Number 8 DANIELLE KEEPING : Timed her run beautifully and scored over 715m after being last at the first turn.
