20220516 – Cannington Monday

EMERALD NEON (Mepunga Blazer- Winsome Summer) used box 1 to her advantage when she railed through to win her Maiden at her third career start. The Jackie Wilson trained bitch was well supported after her second at Mandurah the previous start. The black bitch defeated All Eternity by 2 1/2 lengths in 16.36.

SIMPLY PICK ME (Black Bear Lee- Quick To Go) led from box 8 and raced clear to win by 3 3/4 lengths over Corrina Gundi in a PB 16.26. The Trudi Mitchum trained dog had been placed at two of his past 3 starts at Mandurah and Northam.

HELLO I’M DRAKE (Hello I’m Leo- Starlight Venus) raced away for a 2 1/4 length win over Digital Doll in 16.26 after recovering from a moderate start and working to the lead. The Ben MacLean trained dog has now won twice from 20 starts with 6 minor placings.

SHARNI GUNDI (Fabregas- Tee Gundi) railed underneath the leader Wizard’s Dilemma before scoring a 1 1/4 length Maiden win in 16.64. The Geoff Reid trained youngster had been well supported a few weeks before on debut before finding trouble.

DIAGO JOE (Orson Allen- Ochre Keroma) led from box 2 and recorded back to back victories after recording a Maiden victory the week before at Northam. The James Jeffries trained dog defeated Believin’ Blade by 2 1/4 lengths in 16.16.

WINKLEE MAGIC (Magic Sprite- Winklee Weeper) recorded her first win at Cannington with a 4 1/4 length win over Prime Rocket in 16.44. The Shane Beard trained bitch ended a losing sequence of 26 starts in recording her third career win.

20220411 – Cannington Monday

CALICO JOE (Aussie Infrared- Bubba’s Silvia) was able to cross from his outside draw on debut and take the lead before drawing away to win his Maiden by 4 1/4 lengths in 16.43. The Max Julien trained youngster had finished second in a recent qualifying trial.

SHINBONER PRAISE (Sure As- Zafonic Force) led in the small field and recorded a 1 1/2 length Maiden win over Jonah Gundi in 16.39. The Graeme Hall trained dog had been placed at 2 of his past 3 starts after having only been placed once from his first 22 race starts.

UP AND ATOM (Tureaud- Hi Five Gundi) showed speed from his middle draw and gave trainer Graeme Hall a race to race winning double. The black dog defeated Not Quite Orson by a head and in doing so recorded his second win from 20 starts.
