20210823 – Cannington Monday

HIP HOP MOMENT (Fernando Bale- Moment To Jive) recorded her Maiden win when she crossed from box 5 and held off So Salubrious to win by a half length in 16.48. The Sarah Appleton trained youngster was having just her second career outing.

ELARBEE PRESLEY (Barcia Bale- Tap Out Scarlet) recorded his first win in WA at his fifth start in the State with a half head victory over Romantic Man in 16.66. The Bard Cook trained dog was a winner at Albion park in May before coming West.

SEMASTIAN MAC (Rippin’ Sam- Illusive Dreama) bounced back into the winners list with a 2 length win over Nitro Jack in a PB 16.03. The Kylie McLennan trained dog has now won 6 of 20 over the 275 metres.

20210816 – Cannington Monday

SERIAL STALKER (Fernando Bale- Blossom Dior) scored a first up win for new trainer Dave Brown when he ran down the leader Sweet Annabelle to score by 3/4 length in a PB 16.44. The black dog was having his 42nd career start, having been placed at 12 of those.

AJMER (Mogambo- Azalea Monelli) led throughout from box 3 and recorded his Maiden victory at just his second career start after having been placed second on debut. The James Jeffries trained dog doesn’t turn two years of age until January next year.

BOTANICA (Mepunga Blazer- Tahleia Brae) led throughout from her middle draw and scored a convincing win by 3 1/4 lengths in a PB 16.06. The Barry McPherson trained bitch was placed on debut over the distance the previous week as an odds on favourite.

20210812 – Cannington Thursday – W.A. Championship Finals

WICKED RHYTHM (Fernando Bale- Velucci) recorded an all the win in the final of the WA Distance and gave trainer Enzo Crudeli his first win in the WA feature. The black bitch was having her 50th career start and she found the lead and scored by 1 1/4 lengths over Jett’s Cracker and the race favourite We The People in 42.12. Wicked Rhythm follows Flake Monelli and Reidy’s Runner as recent winners of the WA Distance final, however like Flake Monelli he will not get the chance to represent his State in the National Finals as they were cancelled due to Corona Virus.

SUNSET TOXIC (Mepunga Blazer- Sunset Jessie) also gave his trainer David Hobby his first win in the WA Sprint Championship after leading from box 5. The WA bred chaser seemed to have lost form having led and faded 3 starts prior, however the Magic of Hobby saw the States leading trainer turn the form around. The black dog defeated Stargazer by a neck with a further head away Got The Sugar in 29.98.

20210809 – Cannington Monday

RUTHLESS RUTH (Sh Avatar- Schmickeydoo) showed speed from box 4 and held out the race favourite Ajmer, who was on debut, before scoring a length Maiden win in a PB 16.37. The Rod Noden trained bitch had been placed 3 times from her first 10 career starts prior.

ESCAPOLOGY (My Redeemer- Early Shirley) burnt off her rivals from box 6 and raced clear in the straight to win by 5 lengths over Astrolithology in 16.16. The Colleen Pierson trained bitch has now won 3 of 5 career starts and looks a promising type.

MAX BEAU (Barcia Bale- Quara Allen) showed speed and held out Chuck the Rest and his rivals in the drive to the line winning by 1 1/4 lengths in 16.28. The blue fawn dog recently joined the care of Darren Rowe and ended a losing sequence of 19 in recording his 6th career win.

ROBBEN TUX (Pure Titanium- Tango Dancer) showed speed and held up from box 1 before drawing away to win her Maiden by 2 1/2 lengths over Sweet Annabelle in a PB 16.51. The Barry McPherson trained youngster had been placed third at her second career start the week before.

GABBY GABBY (Fernando Bale- Little Pookie) ended a losing sequence of 43 as she returned to the winners circle with a half length victory over Raven Loon in 16.46. The Dave Brown trained bitch has now recorded two of her 3 career wins from box 7.

ZIPPER FERNANDO (Fernando Bale- Halley Allen) recorded her first win in WA when she defeated Botanical by 1 1 /2 lengths in 16.15. The former NSW chaser, gave new trainer Dave Brown a race to race double.
