ROCKSTAR PATRIOT (Fernando Bale- Glory Of Love) recorded his first win in WA when coming off the heals of the leader Dyna Orenthal on straightening for home. WISE PIQUET (Djay’s Octane- Serena To Excel) caused an upset win in the opening heat of the Sandi’s Me Mum Memorial for new trainer Chris Halse. The white and black dog defeated Eighty Eight by half a length in 30.11.
WEST ON AUGIE (Fernando Bale- Te Amo) charged into next weeks final of the Sandi’s Me Mum with a brilliant 4 length victory over Starlight Yoyo in 29.60. The Chris Halse trained dog is flying with wins at his past 3 starts and has now won 27 times from 48 career starts.

The Chris Halse trained star recently returned from injury and warmed up for his win with a 27.25 victory at Mandurah the week before. Hecton Bale was checked on the first corner at his first start for new trainer Enzo Crudeli. Pictured : West On Augie

“Moment To Jive wins Christmas Gift and takes career earnings over $225,000”
The Christmas Gift is a feature event that was first run back in 1975 when Heather Diro won for Dennis Calleja. Other notable winners include Blue Echo (1984), Sand Pebble (1989), Gemarly Park (1996), Jennev (2002), Miata (2012) and Ramifications (2016). Tonight’s edition was collectively worth $30,000 in prize money and a fantastic field was assembled to race over 715m. Veteran performer West On Hawkeye rose to 715m for the first time and began quickly from box five to find the lead. Moment To Jive also began cleanly from box one and burrowed up inside rivals to settle in a clear second position whilst favourites Rockstar Patriot and Reidy’s Runner drifted back in the field. West On Hawkeye was unable to hold off Moment To Jive’s brilliant finish and she charged away in the home straight to win by five lengths for Sarah Apppleton. Her time of 41.93 was terrific and the win was her 14th over the distance and her 24th at the track. West On Hawkeye held down second and finished four lengths ahead of the third placed Dyna Dean.

JEANIE’S ECHO (Collide- Tayza) showed speed and found the lead for the first time in her career, before racing away for her Maiden win in 27.79. The Roy Clarke trained bitch was having just her second start since April and her breeding suggests she will pay her way.
STARLIGHT VENUS (Barcia Bale- Starlight Delly) smashed her rivals when she jumped well from the inside draw before racing away for a 9 1/4 length win in 27.49. The well bred bitch is trained by Paul Stuart and had been a beaten odds on chance at her first 4 career starts where she had been placed just once.
