20230725 – Cannington Tuesday

“Taco Time wins again for Terry Erenshaw”

Promising sprinter Taco Time proved last week’s debut maiden win was no fluke when she led throughout again over 380m. The 27kg fawn daughter of Barcia Bale scorched out of the boxes last Tuesday and clocked a sizzling first sectional of 6.39 before winning by six lengths in 22.02. This evening on a rain affected surface she worked to the lead in the back straight before winning by one length in 22.24. Whilst she did look tired late she was never going to lose and her terrific box manners and early speed will see her win plenty of races. Outsider Pop’s Gift ran second for Phil Worthington and another half a length away third was the Michael Rees prepared Greek Sensation. Taco Time turns two in October and her mother It’s A Maybe was lightly raced but was a full sister to quality chasers Dark Titan, Red Titan and It’s A Babe.

Race 3 Number 6 ROMP TIN : Hustled quickly to find the lead from box six before winning on debut in 22.13.

Race 4 Number 2 SIMPLICITY : Did everything right from box two and scored by seven lengths.
