20180727 – Mandurah Friday

“Silver Rebah bounces back to winning form at Mandurah”

There have been a swag of greyhounds this week that have relished the return to racing at the Mandurah circuit. The Tom Burns trained Silver Rebah had struggled at her last couple at Cannington before putting in a mighty performance over 490m this evening. From box six the daughter of Cape Hawke surged across the face of the field to cross to the front and then she dashed away in the back straight. Race favourite Starlight April gave pursuit but as they left the back straight was overtaken by Excel To Dream. Meanwhile Silver Rebah had increased her lead and coasted home to win by five lengths in a new PB of 27.68. The Kody Charles trained Excel To Dream finished second with the Paul Stuart prepared Starlight April back in third. Silver Rebah is trained at Quairading and has now won 7 of 28 career starts with all victories occurring at Mandurah.

Race 4 Number 4 NEO HA HA : Showed plenty of mid race muster and hit the line strongly to snatch second.

Race 5 Number 8 MAX PROFIT : Comfortably accounted for a quality FFA field out of box eight.
