20180626 – Cannington Tuesday

“Tiger Keeping wins at WA debut for Brad Cook”

Speedy ‘Keeping’ greyhounds sent to WA from the Dubbo area of NSW have had a great history of winning plenty of races and accumulating lots of earnings. Tiger Keeping started twice over 318m at Dubbo in April for a third and a seventh before being sent to Brad Cook in WA by owner Charmaine Roberts. The son of Barcia Bale qualified last Tuesday over 380m in a fast 22.16 after showing great box manners and blinding early speed. Tonight he was well supported at his WA race debut from box seven and after a fair jump entered the back straight sharing the lead with Elegant Crisp and Hello I’m Biggie. The 36kg red brindle chaser then hustled to the lead and dashed clear of his rivals. The Warnbro based Dad’s Decision made late ground but left it too late, going down by half a length. Tiger Keeping’s time of 22.35 was slower than his trial but with more alacrity at box rise won’t take long to record something close to 22.00. With so many race opportunities these days at Northam, Mandurah and Cannington over short distances Tiger Keeping looks set to be another great money-spinner for connections.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 2 Number 2 FABS GEM : Was taken wide on entering the back straight before regrouping and winning her maiden by two lengths.

Race 3 Number 6 HOLD IT TOGETHER : Had excuses and kept coming to finish a gallant third and should break through soon.
