20180503 – Mandurah Thursday

“Iron Bru lights up Mandurah for Mullany”

Nambeelup based speedster Iron Bru put in a great performance over 302m tonight, winning the Mandurah Mail Novice by four lengths. The son of Barcia Bale left the boxes in moderate fashion but once he balanced up on the astro turf was able to muster quickly. Race favourite Incredible Bev had zoomed out of the red box and initially led the field before being joined on the outside by Iron Bru after fifty metres. Turning for home it was a race in two but Iron Bru charged away in the home straight to win easily in a fast 17.15. The Harvey based Incredible Bev held second and was eight lengths in advance of Kieran Keeping who is trained out of the South Western town of Uduc. Iron Bru began his career in November last year and tonight’s performance was clearly a career best effort given the ease of the victory and the time. He is owned by Andrew Wilkinson and has now started 16 times for 3 wins and 4 minor placings.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :
