“Waterloo Monelli creates big impression at Mandurah”

Regally bred chaser Waterloo Monelli could not have been more impressive at tonight’s Mandurah debut. He stepped cleanly out of box 6, quickly assumed control before charging away to win by seven lengths in an astonishing time of 27.32. He is by Fernando Bale and is out of top race bitch Bingle Monelli. He did show plenty of talent at his first fourteen career starts, all of which were at Cannington over 520m. On December 20 he whizzed around that track in 29.73 when victorious in a City Class Novice in 29.73. Tonight’s performance was outstanding and the time was just four lengths outside of Back Jack Tewin’s April 2014 track record. He is raced by David Hobby, is owned by Mike and Michelle Quinsee and looks set for a very bright career.

Race 4 Number 7 TIM BERR : Recovered from a slow jump to win impressively, he loves a wide draw.

Race 6 Number 8 DANDALUP GIRL : Soldiered on to run second in a fast time behind Waterloo Monelli.
