“Dorito Benz fires up for Coldstream”

Talented former Queenslander Dorito Benz was an impressive winner of tonight’s Prime Trophies Grade 4 over 405m. The son of Fabregas pocketed $2000 for owner Barry Palmer when an all the way winner in the smart time of 22.86. He sped out of box 4 and quickly slipped away from rivals Amy Monelli (box 2) and Two Stop Lomar (box 3). At half way he was coursing wide but was at least three lengths in front of his closest pursuer. He hit the line hard in the front straight to score by four lengths over Obstruction who charged home from a rearward position to be the runner up. Two Stop Lomar finished a head away in third, just in advance of Who’s Got It. Dorito Benz is prepared by Southern River trainer Derek Coldstream (pictured)and has now started 29 times for 8 wins and 9 minor placings.
