20170814 – Northam Monday

Big Foot Ketut improves sharply from the red box

Big Foot Ketut turned his form around today in the 509m Novice over 590m. Race favourite Patchwork Patti (box five) began nicely but using the inside adavantage from box one Big Foot Ketut was able to hold out all challenges at the first turn. He burst clear in the back straight and at half way led by a comfortable five lengths. Patchwork Patti gave chase but was unable to bridge back the margin. Big Foot Ketut scored by five lengths in a smart 30.20 over Patchwork Patti and another four lengths away third was the Justin Wood prepared Mr. Ballistic. It was a big improvement for Big Foot Ketut who had finished 6th, 5th and 7th at his three previous outings. The victory provided Pinjar trainer Craig Shore with a double after winning earlier with Kininka Loch over 297m.

Race 2 Number 2 TOOK THE LOT : Mustered quickly and railed well to win by two lengths.

Race 3 Number 4 TRIBAL VIBE : Missed the start again but ran on gallantly to be beaten just over a length in decent time. Surely will win a Maiden at Northam in the next couple of weeks.
