“Miss Bamsy impresses over 405m for Jackie Wilson”

Miss Bamsy began her racing career in New South Wales where she failed to win a maiden despite starting 12 times at a variety of tracks. In May she headed to South Australia where she broke her maiden status over 400m at Gawler. She finished fourth at her two WA starts before tonight and wasn’t beaten far behind handy types Abba Monelli and Canute’s Law. This evening she found plenty at box rise and surged to an outright lead while race favourite Little Dearra had begun only moderately. Miss Bamsy scored easily by four lengths and recorded a very smart time of 22.96 over the 405m distance. She is trained out of Forrestdale by Jackie Wilson and is owned by Gary Nelson.

Race 3 Number 1 BLACK LIGHT : Mustered quickly off box one to lead and then hold off Lucky Shooter in 22.98.

Race 4 Number 1 I’LL MISS YOU : Jumped in the air at box rise but recovered well to run a bold second behind Hurricane Hayley.
