20170123 – Cannington Monday

“Mr Couragous sizzles over 275m”

Noted speedster Mr Couragous relished the drop to Grade 6 company in tonight’s Box 1 Buffet sponsored 275m event. Despite having only won 1 of 30 career starts the Brad Cook prepared runner was a strongly supported betting commodity and was backed in to a $2.75 fixed odds favourite. Kaluna Gundi began speedily from box two and it only took a few strides for Mr Couragous to muster and level up before surging to the lead at the first turn. From that point the son of Where’s Pedro was able to extend his lead and win by five lengths in 16.18. Spritely Sash (box 1) railed into second for Colin Bainbridge and Dumb Bullett (box 8) finished third. Mr Couragous has now started 31 times for 2 wins and 11 minor placings. He is trained out of Canning Vale by Brad Cook and is owned by Victoria Beamish and Karl Hassan.

RACE 3 NUMBER 4 DAD’S ANGEL : Mustered brilliantly to hold the lead and then post 22.32. Shows promise.

RACE 4 NUMBER 1 RICKSHAW MILLIE : Had excuses and will win again soon.
