“Silent Wind breaks through for deserved victory”

Noted wide tracker Silent Wind ended a long losing sequence that stretched back to last December when he led most of the way to score in 23.20. From box two he zoomed out of the boxes before being headed off briefly by speedsters Bazza Bail and Anna Keeping. The son of Spring Gun regained an outright lead just prior to straightening before pulling away to win by a length. Anna Keeping, hard up against the rail finished second, three lengths ahead of outsider Gas Pedal who grabbed third. Silent Wind is trained out of Serpentine by Dwayne Jovanovic and he now has 2 wins and 13 minor placings from 31 starts.

Race 1 Number 2 SWEET CHARLEE : Ran on gamely and looks set for a break through.

Race 4 Number 5 WALLY MATUSZEK : Caught the eye to finish second after being slowly away and started big odds.
