“Cool Hawk soars first up for Keith Batty”

Highly promising young sprinter Cool Hawk resumed from two months off with a convincing, all the way victory over 302m in tonight’s Sign Strategy Call Phil Novice Stake. The white and fawn son of Cape Hawke catapulted out of box three and quickly assumed control before bursting clear to win by six lengths in 17.13. Trained by Nambeelup trainer Keith Batty, Cool Hawk has now started 5 times for 3 wins and 2 thirds. His time of 17.13 was terrific and just six lengths outside of the track record held by Quedos (16.75). The Banjup trained Rolling Breeze ran second ahead of the Lynwood prepared Busby Boy.

Race 1 Number 3 WINNING COMMAND : Was freshened up and began like a bullet tonight and despite tracking wide in the front straight ran a bold second. Ready to win.

Race 2 Number 3 CALAHAN ROCKS : Hit the line strongly and wasn’t beaten far in a fast time.
