“Message from the Crossley Family”

John, Brenda and Ashleigh Crossley wish to sincerely thank all their wonderful friends within the greyhound industry during this very tough time. John (pictured) has been overwhelmed with the love and support shown to his family and would like everyone to know that your words, messages and generous deeds mean the world to him.

“Kid Kansas wins again”

Highly promising youngster Kid Kansas proved last week’s Maiden victory (in 30.62) was no fluke when he suited up in black and white colours tonight. Drawn box two in the Fast Fun Affordable Grade 5, he boxed fairly before mustering quickly to hold out Defy All Odds (box 8) at the first turn. Race favourite Junk Yard Wolf (box 6) met with early interference and was seemingly out of winning contention. Kid Kansas shook off Defy All Odds as he entered the back straight and despite tracking very wide dashed away from all rivals. He won by just over two lengths in a handy 30.32 with Defy All Odds second and outsider Chezzascent in third position. Weighing in at 36.5kg and turning two years old in September the son of Barcia Bale will be a real force for South Yunderup trainer Christine Robartson.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Trial 3 Number 6 ALEX MONELLI : Showed strength down the back straight to push through on the fence and hit the lead.

Race 2 Number 4 LEONARD MONELLI : Hit the line strongly and looks ready to win.
