“Quedos breaks two track records in four days”

Magic Sprite youngster Quedos looks set to win a lot of races over short journeys. Out of former fast beginning short-courser Typhoon Monelli, he notched his fifth consecutive victory tonight and his first over the 302m journey. His first two wins were over 297m at Northam followed by a couple at Cannington over 275m. On Monday afternoon he recorded a new track record of 15.85 there from box one. This evening from box six he began like a gazelle and quickly established a handy break before surging clear to win by five lengths in a new track record of 16.75. That time was just 0.01 inside of the previous track record held by Timmy Mac. Quedos is still just a baby and turns two in August of this year so a faster record is more than likely to occur in the future.

RACE 2 NUMBER 8 BRIDIE’S NIGHTIE : Ran second in approximately 17.05.

RACE 5 NUMBER 7 CHARLIE BOY : Won brilliantly over 490m by 9.25 lengths in 27.61
