“Olivia Benson capitalises on inside draw”

Strong railer Olivia Benson made full use of the red box in tonight’s Prime Trophies Grade 5 over 490m. After a fair getaway she mustered inside her rivals and held the lead before shooting away in the home straight to score by 6.50 lengths. Both Defy All Odds (box 7) and Brinksy’s Girl (box 2) jumped nicely but with the aid of the inside box Olivia Benson proved too fast. She is an inexperienced chaser who is only two years and two months old but her career record of 3 wins and 6 minor placings from 14 starts is rock solid. She is owned and trained by Nambeelup trainer Darren Rowe (Pictured) and looks set for a bright future. The new 520m distance at Cannington should be right up her alley.

RACE 3 NUMBER 3 BILLY’S CRUSADER : Ran away to win comfortably in 17.23 and now has 7 wins and 22 minor placings from 43 starts.

RACE 5 NUMBER 7 SPEEDY MION : Looked the winner in the middle stages before clipping the heels of the leader and should have won.
