20160305 Mandurah Saturday

BOB MONELLI (Cosmic Chief- Fantasy Monelli) recorded a narrow win in the final of the Peter Thomas for WA bred chasers. The win gave trainer David Hobby his second win in the feature after winning with Luba Monelli in 2013. The white and black dog began well before being headed by Armani who began well from his outside draw. Bob Monelli wobbled wide on the corner, however had the momentum to hold off the late finishing run of West On Dossy scoring by a neck in a PB 27.52.

LIVING PROOF (Collide- Casey’s Angel) took advantage of the inside draw and was able to hold off the late challenge of Yunderup Dozer to score by a head in the FTA. The Chris Halse trained dog has now won his last two starts when exiting box 1 and has won 4 of 12 over all from the inside draw. The black dog scored in 27.45.

SERENA FLY HIGH (Bit Chili- Sky Fly High) has returned from injury in grand style winning at her past two starts. The Steve Withers trained bitch scored over the 490 metres at her second run back from a spell before stepping up to the 647 metres and leading through out to win by 1 1/4 lengths in 36.87. The black bitch looks to have staying potential written all over her.

Greyhounds to follow:
Race 1 No 5 Szechuan Flyer. Has now won at his past two starts and both have been from the squeeze boxes. The John Iwanyk trained dog is over due for an inside draw and when he does he can run some time.

Race 3 No 2 Aristotle Bale. Had finished last at his first two attempts over the 490 metres before saluting tonight in 27.69.

Race 7 No 2 Winsome Jacko. Relatively new comer to middle distance chasing and recorded smart 36.73 for Paul Stuart.
