20151203 Mandurah Thursday

MIGHTY TAY (R1 N4) was impressive winning the opening race on the program tonight in a time of 17.15. The Barry McPherson-trained greyhound explosive from box four and put a gap on the field in a matter of strides. He did get tired in the final 20m when BELLA’S MIRACLE made late ground, but the son of Lochinvar Marlow out of I’m Not Foolin’ looks a capable short course chaser. (Pictured above)

Greyhounds to follow:

Do not be surprised if KRUGGERAND is a name you hear more of, in feature races down the track.

The Paul Stuart-trained chaser won a city class juvenile race in a blistering 27.27 over the 490m tonight.

The son of Collision out of Goldie Bale missed the jump slightly from box two, but after settling was breath taking around the back straight.

Marvellous Marvin jumped on the arm and led early before Krugerrand ran past the David Hobby-trained dog like he was standing still.

The win brought up Krugerrand’s third in a row and fourth career triumph from six attempts.

Marvellous Marvin finished second and West On Babe was third in a quality field. Most of these runners can be followed to their next start. The first three certainly can.
