20150903 Northam Thursday

FOOLISH LAKODA (Brad Cook pictured)(R2 N2) continued his blistering form with a comfortable all the way victory over the 297m this afternoon at Northam in grade four/five company.

It was a step up in class for the son of Magic Sprite out of Foolish Jorgy, but he dismissed his rivals as he has recently to win for the fourth consecutive start in a time of 17.32.

It is an impressive record the Brad Cook-trained chaser is building with seven wins from 13 career starts, he has missed the top three just twice.

Casual Steak ran a good race into second after dropping grade while Dark Ouzo produced a good run to place third from a tricky draw in the blue rug.

Both place getters can be followed to their next start in the same company and should be highly competitive.

FITZ GREAT (R1 N1) can also be followed this campaign after a winning return in his first run at the Northam course.
The speedy youngster won for the second time in five career starts after returning from a month’s break and stopped the clock at 17.42 in grade five company.

Took The Lot was impressive from box eight to finish second and could be followed over a longer distance.
Zipping Lacey, in the yellow rug, was an eye-catcher after a slow start and look out if she draws a good box next start.
Greyhounds to follow:
SUGAQUE (R3 N5) won on debut for trainer Peter Hepple over the 509m. After a slow start the daughter of High Earner out of Delaque mustered speed into the first corner and avoided the trouble behind her to lead into the back straight. She looked to get stronger the longer the race went and looks to have plenty of talent.
