20150305 Mandurah Thursday

By Taylor Courtland

It was a case of third time lucky for Dark Ouzo tonight at Mandurah Greyhound track.
The ex-Victorian chaser, who had one career win from 12 starts prior to tonight’s race, won the $27 Thursday Buffet Grade 5 over 302m in a blistering 17.20 seconds in his third WA start.
The Andrew McLaren-trained dog by Collision flew the boxes from the seventh alley to easily cross the field.

He never looked like getting beaten and was the strongest through the line in impressive time.
Nitro Rocks ran an eye-catching second.
The 110-start veteran from Graeme Hall’s kennel was fourth in running at the turn, but suggested an end to an eight start winless streak could be near.
Sky Reactor made it two wins from the first two races for the black rug in the Silver Sands Resort Grade 5 over 302m.
The Wayne Beamish-trained chaser has now won three times from five starts in the seven box.
Fly Bayou finished second, unfortunately for connections a familiar feeling as the black and white bitch out of Bayou Around looks to break a winless streak that dates back to December 22, 2014.
The highlight on tomorrow night’s card are the four heats of the Prime Trophies Kanyana Cup. The first heat will be race four.
