“Jimmy Rocks digs deep to win over 647m for Justin Wood”

Handy chaser Jimmy Rocks rose to the occasion tonight when he took out the running of the Tommy Shelby At Stud Provincial 4/5 over 647m. He had only managed one placing from his previous six starts but tonight’s small field size of four helped his chances. He settled third at the first turn before motoring around the leading pair to take the front and defeat them in 37.41. Poppy Passion soldiered on for a nice second and a length away third was West On Mia. Jimmy Rocks is trained by Justin Wood and has now won 6 of 28 career starts with the first five occurring over 520m at Cannington.

Race 4 Number 8 ZEARFOSS : Relished box eight and whizzed around them to win impressively.

Race 5 Number 4 SENSATIONALISM : Ran on gamely for second after being in traffic at the first turn.
