20220117 – Cannington Monday

FUNDAMENTALIST (Orson Allen- Fundamental) kicked up underneath Infamous Angel to hold the lead and then hold off the wide running Voodoo Dolly to record a neck Maiden win in 16.46. The Rod Noden trained bitch had been placed at 2 of her past 3 runs before her victory.

HONEY BEE (Fernando Bale- Winsome April) showed early speed and although getting tired near the line was able to hold on for her Maiden victory. The Tony Scott trained bitch defeated Molfetta Belle by a half length in 16.53.

AWESOME EXPRESS (Orson Allen- Fundamental) took the short cut along the rails while It Is Momentum wobbled wide around the corner and in doing so possibly the race. The win gave trainer Rod Noden an early winning double scoring by a head in 16.30.

ZULU FINESSE (Orson Allen- Zulu Storm) proved too classy for her rivals when she claimed the leaders coming towards the home corner before racing clear to defeat Stones Throw by 3 3/4 lengths in 16.21. The Wayne Beamish trained bitch has now won twice from 3 starts since arriving from Queensland.

WISE DORSET (My Redeemer- Cosmic Wise) railed well and defeated Youthful Spirit by a length in 22.41. The Michael Hine trained dog was placed at his second career start before recording his Maiden victory in style.

WEST ON FINN (My Redeemer- Te Amo) railed underneath the leader Hurricane Taylor going into the back straight before holding that chaser in the run to the line scoring his Maiden victory on debut by a length in 30.22. The Chris Halse trained dog was well supported on debut after a recent impressive trial win in 30.01.

20220110 – Cannington Monday

OH PLEASE (Orson Allen- Mia Brae) recorded his Maiden victory when he finished better than Fandamentalist to score by 1 3/4 lengths in 16.38. The Barry McPherson trained dog had only been placed once from 9 previous starts, however was having his first start from box 1.

KELLY GUSTO (West On Augie- Wagtail Kate) broke her Maiden status also with a 3/4 length victory over Cosmic Turbo in 16.59. The Murray Stewart trained bitch had been placed at her past two starts over the 275 metres.

IT IS MOMENTUM (Fernando Bale- It’s A Jett) returned to the winners list with a 1 1/2 length win over Joanna Keeping in a PB 16.30. The win gave trainer Barry McPherson a winning double in the first 3 races.
