“Triumph Monelli sizzles around Mandurah for Morgan Turner”

Fresh after winning a City Novice in spectacular style on Saturday night with Columbus Monelli, Nambeelup based trainer Morgan Turner took out tonight’s first race with Triumph Monelli. Triumph is a full brother to Columbus but had only clocked a moderate 28.21 in a qually and on debut found trouble and failed to beat a runner home. Tonight he improved at box rise and found the lead before winning brilliantly in a fast 27.65. He is raced by Mike and Michelle Quinsee and like Columbus Monelli won’t be taking long to win his novices.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 2 Number 3 JOSE MONELLI : Rocketed late to snatch third, a nice debut.

Race 3 Number 2 RIOT ON RUM : Showed plenty of mid race speed after a slow jump and an early bump.

“Lady Lass puts it all together for Stephen Richards”

Raw young sprinter Lady Lass turns two in October and looks like maturing into a serious short-courser. The daughter of Moreira won 2 of her first 3 career starts before winning tonight in devastating fashion. She left the boxes moderately but it only took a couple of strides for her to accelerate clear of her rivals. She exploded away to win by five lengths in a smart 17.10 over the Glen Price prepared Prime Martini. Stephen Richards has enjoyed plenty of success in the past with the likes of Oriental Owen, Dollstan Cruise, Dollstan Dream, Raise The Bridge and Shadow Runner.
