20210920 – Cannington Monday

JOANNA KEEPING (My Reedermer- Molly Keeping) showed speed from box 4 and recorded her Maiden victory at her 4th career start. The Brad Cook trained bitch defeated Adhira Jet by a length in a PB 16.32.

HE’S A HOTSHOT (Bella Infrared- West On Babe) ended a losing sequence of 51 starts as he led throughout over the 275 metres defeating Raven Loon by 1 1/4 lengths in a PB 16.19. The John Magistro trained dog had been slow away in his previous 13 starts over the distance.

FIRE FLY CASPER (Spud Regis- Fire Fly Juliet) flew across from box 8 and streeted her rivals winning by 5 1/4 lengths in a new PB 15.89. The Glen Currie trained bitch has now won 6 times from 35 career starts, however had never been placed in 3 previous starts from box 8.

20210916 – Mandurah Thursday

“Ant Man breaks through for deserved win for Jackie Wilson”

Speedy chaser Ant Man overcame box seven to win tonight’s Bring Your Team Along Grade 6 over 302m. The 28kg son of Keybow had been a runner up at his previous two starts behind Hello I’m Ricky and Thunder Boom. Tonight he zoomed out of the boxes and quickly ran to the lead before scoring comfortably by three lengths in 17.36. The Ben MacLean trained Run Shifty Run chased Ant Man home for second and Our Adventure was a length away in third. Ant Man is raced by Gary Nelson and Jackie Wilson who also combined to take out the 2018 Mandurah Cup with Miss Bamsy.


Race 5 Number 2 MUTTLEY : Ran on nicely to finish fourth and close up behind some smart types.

Race 7 Number 2 AURORA MAYA : Showed plenty of energy in the middle and late stages to run second.

“Missy causes boilover at 33/1 for Graham Ellis and Murray Ion”

Rank outsider Missy came with a well timed run to take out tonight’s Sign Strategy Maiden over 405m. The daughter of SH Avatar had been placed in 4 of her first 9 starts but from box eight was sent out as the roughest runner in the field. David Hobby trained speedsters Chiquita Monelli and Emma Monelli were contested the lead with Missy settling fourth out wide at the first turn. She unleashed a strong finish to snatch victory on the line in 23.24. Her winning margin was a neck over Chiquita Monelli and half a length away third was Emma Monelli. Missy is trained by Southern River trainer Graham Ellis who in the past has prepared handy performers Ruby’s Chapta, Esaba Sage, Asa Torpedo, Sweet Charlee and Names Magic.


Race 1 Number 8 ENTRY LEVEL : Won comfortably over 490m in 27.88 and dashed away late to win by three lengths.

Race 3 Number 3 HORTON MONELLI : Broke maiden status after a freshen up and clocked a fast 22.72.
