“Brave Annie bounces back for Andrew McLaren”

Handy sprinter Brave Annie capitalised on box one in tonight’s Prime Trophies Provincial 4/5 over 400m. The daughter of Bernardo snapped a losing sequence of 11 when she drove through on the inside to lead at the first turn. From that point she was never in any danger, gliding to a three length victory over Reiko Boom and Solid Axle. Given the wet conditions her time of 22.61 was well outside of her previous PB (22.33). Twenty minutes later her full brother Another Jimmy overcame box eight to score in a slightly faster time of 22.59.
