“Intimidation wins Express Stake Final for Corey White”

Fastest qualifier Intimidation overcame box eight to win tonight’s GreyhoundsWA Express Stake Final over 400m. The son of Aussie Infrared has always shown serious promise and in March of this year scored over 520m at Cannington in a super time of 29.45. Last Friday he resumed from two months off with a magnificent heat win in 22.04 which was clearly the quickest performance on the night. Despite drawing the pink alley the Corey White trained chaser was sent out an odds on favourite ($1.70). He began fairly well and mustered into second at the first turn before putting his nose in front before half way. He then tangled with Bolt of Fun, lost momentum and had to regroup in the home straight. He did so, getting the job done by half a length over the fast finishing Rigatoni Monelli. The judge was unable to separate Jaffa’s Monelli and Bolt Of Fun who dead-heated for third. The victory was Corey White’s second in the feature event after winning back in 2016 with Lee’s Maggie.
