“Bella’s Star wins Maiden Final for David Magistro”

Tonight’s 400m Maiden Final was sponsored by Auto Owls Bentley and after two greyhounds dominated their respective heats last Tuesday, they were sent out as strong favourites. Little Skittles (box 7) was sent out a $1.70 favourite after winning her heat by five lengths and Mako Max (box 8) also won his heat by five lengths and was a clear second elect at $2.30. The pair began only fairly from their wide traps and bumped, allowing Bella’s Star from box three to find the front. The daughter of Tommy Shelby dashed away to cause an upset and win by two lengths in 22.81. Mako Max was the runner up and two lengths away third was the fast finishing Yunderup Trick. Bella’s Star is out of Bella Can Browse who was a winner of 14 races from her 51 starts.
