“Intimidation rockets around Mandurah in 22.04 for Corey White”
The Express Stake Series was first run back in 1981 when Princess Toltrec won on the old Mandurah circuit over 410m. Notable winners over the years have been Downfield (1985), Looks Like Mum (1996), Green Fairy (2008), Nobu King (2014), Robotnik (2022) and Aussie Gem (2025). Two heats were contested tonight with the first four across the line advancing to next week’s final. The highly talented Intimidation resumed after eight weeks off with a dashing display from box two. He flew out and matched strides early with Federal Focus before zooming clear and winning by six lengths in an explosive time of 22.04. Rigatoni Monelli powered home to be the runner up and Another Jimmy finished third. The second heat produced a big performance from Jaffa’s Monelli who came with a late flash to snatch victory in 22.62. He won by two lengths over Bolt Of Fun and a nose away third was the fading Brave Annie. The box draw for next Friday’s Final :
