“Larrgadi ends a losing sequence of 20 for Shane Beard”

Noted slow beginner Larrgadi drew favourably in box one tonight and was sent out a $1.18 fixed odds favourite in the All Torque Engineering Country 6 over 300m. The son of Superior Panama mucked up the start and was seventh early before weaving between opponents and into third position. Turning for home he pulled to the outside and charged home to win in very wet conditions. The Shane Beard prepared chaser scored by half a length over the Kylie McLennan trained duo of Uncompromised (2nd) and Remote Stealer (3rd). The slow time of 17.87 was better than it looks given how wet the racing surface was. Larrgadi has now won 5 of 51 and will step back up to Country 5 company next week.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 2 Number 5 MISS TEQUILA : Impressed with a gritty win from the middle box and has now won 2 out of 3.

Race 6 Number 2 SPEEDY ED : Railed home strongly to win powerfully after a poor getaway.
