“Hang Tight Honey shoots into Maiden Final”

Nicely bred youngster Hang Tight Honey made light work of tonight’s third heat of the 400m Maiden Series. The daughter of Tommy Shelby turned two last month and qualified last week with a win from box eight in 22.74. This evening from box seven she began quickly and zoomed across to find an outright lead before winning by a comfortable margin of three lengths. Her time of 22.63 was the fastest of the three heats and she will start a warm favourite in next Tuesday’s Final. Perennial runner up West On Torque worked home strongly for second and has now been the bridesmaid in 9 of his 21 career starts. Five lengths away in third position was the Enzo Crudeli trained Tide Is High. Hang Tight Honey is out of West On Poppy who has produced some serious chasers in the past like Uncle Tommy, Messed Up Mary, Peaky Boo, Care Factor and Better Call.

Trial 2 Number 3 GOING TO ZURA : Stormed away to win by eight lengths in 22.86 for Enzo Crudeli.
