“Iconic Guess takes out Winter Sprint for Christine Robartson”

Iconic Guess has improved out of sight in recent weeks, firstly winning three successive Saturday night 520m Free For Alls before coming to Mandurah and conquering the Winter Sprint Series. His Cannington victories were clocked in 29.92, 30.79 (after finding bother) and 29.83 over elite opponents. Last Friday he came from behind to win his heat in 22.30 which was the quickest of the qualifiers. Tonight he began cleanly and then out-mustered a very speedy field to lead and win by four lengths in 22.26 on a wet surface. The triumph took his career earnings over $129,000 and his win tally to 12 from 43 career starts. Our Ozzie Salute ran a gallant second ahead of Elite Deluxe in third, both minor placegetters being trained by Jamie Marsh.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 2 Number 8 TWO TRUTHS : Flew across from box eight and is ready to win.

Race 6 Number 2 FARMER RUSSELL : Made up many lengths to finish fourth after drifting back early.
