“Monkey Magic appreciates box one and wins for Ben MacLean”

Talented sprinter Monkey Magic capitalised on box one tonight when he led throughout in the Tommy Shelby At Stud Provincial 5 over 400m. The son of Aston Rupee boasted solid numerical form despite jumping from boxes 5, 6 or 7 at his previous six starts. He flew from the boxes tonight, enjoyed an uncontested lead before winning easily by three lengths in a new PB of 22.57. Race favourite Tarawi Mike recovered from a poor jump to be the runner up and a neck away third was Paradise Paris. Monkey Magic is raced by Stephen Gee and is trained out of Southern River by Ben MacLean. He has now started 27 times for 8 wins and 9 minor placings.
