“Cashing Out wins over 652m for Colleen Pierson”

Ex-Victorian stayer Cashing Out won the first heat of the Mandurah Distance Challenge tonight over the long trip of 652m. The son of Aston Rupee began cleanly and found the outright lead past the catching pen before pinching a four length break at half way. Race favourite Iron Works made up plenty of ground but left it too late, falling two lengths short. Cashing Out clocked a handy 37.48 and notched his twelfth career victory from 54 starts. The other heat saw another upset with $1.10 favourite Miss Envy losing to the Adam Smithson prepared Reinvigorated. Notable previous winners of the staying series are Barney Stinson (2011), Serena Fly High (2017), Flake Monelli (2020) and Couch Surfer (2023). The box draw for next Friday’s Final :
