ORANA VALERIE (Sh Avatar-Karen Keeping) recorded a smart 2 3/4 length win over Shinboner Abby in 17.75 at her first start at Northam under race conditions. The Pete Brown trained bitch ended a losing sequence of 11 starts as she recorded her third win from 22 outings.

RAWSON TIME (Aussie Infrared-Only A Guess) railed perfectly around the home corner to cause an upset win in Race 2. The Ben MacLean trained bitch had been racing consistently without winning. The black bitch defeated Miss Star Lee by a length in 17.68. REVOLUTION RICO (Hard Style RICO-Starry) was most impressive working his way through the field to record back to back victories. The Peter Glenny trained dog took 46 starts to record his second victory before putting two wins together. The black dog won by 5 3/4 lengths over Yunderup Tammy in 29.66.
