“King Kuna shows his true colours with a seven length win over 715m”

Michael Johnston has done a terrific training job with up and coming stayer King Kuna. The son of Tommy Shelby improved at box rise and with a lap to go leveled up with leader Black Tiger. He burnt them off past the catching pen and proceeded to increase his lead with every stride, winning by seven lengths over Tilly Rose and half a length away third was Cleary Magic. King Kuna has been a late bloomer over staying journeys and tonight lowered his PB by five lengths (41.99). King Kuna is raced by the Dennis Kerr managed On The Far Syndicate and has now won 8 of 55 career starts. Johnston has prepared some gun chasers in the past like Penny Magic (14 wins), Maximum Kuna (14 wins), Counting Kuna (36 wins) and Passionate Pedro (16 wins).
