“Pad Up Owen wins at start 100”

Honest short-courser Pad Up Owen became a centurion tonight, starting for the hundredth time in tonight’s third event. The son of Zambora Brockie was placed at his previous start over 297m at Northam but hadn’t won for eleven outings. He drew box six tonight and began poorly, which turned out to be a bonus because every other greyhound was inconvenienced and he was able to whizz around them and take the lead. Believe In Dream challenged strongly in the front straight but Pad Up Owen found enough, winning by a head in 17.62. Believe In Dream was the runner up and three lengths away third was Ripple Rhythm. Pad Up Owen was bred and is raced by Pete and Angela Brown, his career record now sits at an impressive 100 starts for 13 wins, 17 seconds and 10 thirds.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 2 Number 2 MAKO EIFFLER : Caught the eye with a fast finishing third.

Race 5 Number 5 MONKEY MAGIC : Won with dominance and clocked a blistering quick 16.88.
