“Aussie Sigma runs a new PB for Barry McPherson”

Capable short-courser Aussie Sigma put in a blinder tonight from box six, flying out of the boxes and leading throughout over 300m in 17.02. The daughter of Aussie Infrared zoomed clear of her rivals early before winning by three lengths over race favourite and the Gary Nelson prepared Quest For Steps. Two lengths away in third position was Bluey Brann for James Jeffries. Aussie Sigma is owned by Luke Garbutt and this evening took her career record to 48 starts for 10 wins and 12 minor placings. She is now three years and six months old and is a full sister to other handy chasers Aussie Tilly (9 wins), Red Can King (8 wins) and Galileo Express (6 wins).
