Nicely bred chaser Zeta Prime was heavily backed to win tonight’s Auto Owls Bentley Country 6 over 300m despite being slowly away and well beaten at his last couple. The son of Aussie Infrared started $2.30 fixed odds and again made a mess of the jump. He was clearly last to begin over the short trip but then showed excellent muster to zoom through and lead. From there the 31kg chaser powered clear to win by five lengths in 17.48. Absolute Mayhem ran second and half a length away third was Tiny Twist. Zeta Prime is raced by Rod and Glen Price and has now started 31 times for 5 wins and 10 minor placings. His mother We The People earned over $300,000 and won the 2022 Group 3 Brisbane Gold Cup over 710m at Albion Park.
