“Tully’s Gem bounces back for Dave Brown”
Speedster Tully’s Gem relished box two tonight when she led throughout over 300m against Grade 6 company. The daughter of Mepunga Blazer hadn’t won since July when she saluted over 297m at Northam. Tonight she fired out quickly and found the lead before holding off Liberty Rules (second) and Forever Seven (third). Her time of 17.38 was well outside of the sizzling PB of 16.95 that she set back in July of 2024. Tully’s Gem will turn four next month so a rise to 400m may be on the cards given the attraction of masters racing for Provincial prizemoney. She has now won 11 of 52 career starts with just 2 of those resulting at Mandurah.
