“Pump Fake hits top gear for Ben MacLean”

Capable short-courser Pump Fake made light work of tonight’s Auto Owls Bentley Country Novice over 300m from box five. The son of Orson Allen showed what he was capable of back on January 13 when he made every post a winner from box five in 17.36. However that was his only victory at the Mandurah circuit from 21 appearances. Tonight he drew box five again and when the boxes lifted he erupted to a clear lead and basically had the race in his keeping after fifty metres. He sizzled clear to win by four lengths in a new PB of 17.29 over Little Perrette and Incredible Lucky. Pump Fake is raced by Ben and Amanda MacLean and is a full brother to other handy sprinters South Crenshaw, Miss Crenshaw and Crenshaw King.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Trial 2 Number 7 SUNSET GODDESS : Began cleanly from box seven before mustering clear and winning by four lengths in 22.60 (over 400m).

Trial 3 Number 5 SUNSET CALIGULA : Won by 7.75 lengths over 488m in a promising 27.70 for David Hobby.
