“Binnaway Oak relishes box one over 400m”

Tonight’s fifth race produced a rough result when Binnaway Oak stepped quickly and led throughout over 400m. The David Hobby trained Sunset Vendetta started a clear favourite but missed the kick badly out of box six and settled near the rear of the field. Binnaway Oak came out humming and set the pace for Southern River based trainer Barry McPherson. The son of Orson Allen had failed to be placed at his previous six appearances at the Mandurah track and at his last thirteen in a row. He won comfortably in a new PB of 22.86 over Oakley Belle and two lengths away third was Tycoon Zulu. Binnaway Oak is raced by Christopher Harrison and has now won 5 of his 28 career starts.

Race 6 Number 8 MYLES KEEPING : Overcame box eight to rail to victory over 400m.
