“Neon Fury bolts in at her 300m debut”
Speedy short-courser Neon Fury jumped a $1.70 favourite in tonight’s opening event, the Free Entry TABtouch Park Country 5/6 over 300m. The daughter of Aston Rupee began like a rocket and set up a big early lead before sailing clear to win by an impressive official margin of 7.25 lengths. The Gary Nelson prepared Six Story Syd ran second and a length away third was the Tracey Hine prepared Arctic Crop. Neon Fury won her two novices against Provincial Class over 381m at Cannington in good times and was an all the way winner on both occasions. This evening’s victory was a walk in the park for new trainer Shane Beard and the winning time of 17.04 indicates she won’t take long to progress to FFA company.
