“Zatara Mac hits his straps for Ricky Walton”
Promising speedster Zatara Mac made light work of tonight’s Thursdays At Mandurah Country Novice over 300m. From box one he was sent out as an odds on favourite and he didn’t let his backers down. The son of Rage On Zatara was the first to begin and quickly accelerated clear of his opponents. He coursed wide on the track and wobbled to the outside on straightening but still scored by seven lengths in a swift time of 17.23. The Greg King trained Knox Gorge finished second and a neck away third was the Megan Magistro trained Beyond The Stars. Zatara Mac has only just turned two and is a full brother to the highly talented Zatara’s Image who has won 7 of 20 career starts.
