DOUBLE GRIP (Vice Grip-Rekall Kelsos) ran down the leader Aureate right on the line to win by a bob of the head, with a nose being semaphored by the judge. The Kellie Buckwell trained dog ended a losing sequence of 12 starts in recording just his second career victory.

CLEARY MAGIC (Vice Grip-Yunderup Magic) worked up around the outside of her litter sister Panthers Magic to gain the lead past the judge the first time around. The Justin Wood bitch then went on to defeat her sister by 6 1/2 lengths in 34.73, a new PB.

URBANITY (Aussie Infrared-Poise) was far too good for her rivals over the 715 metres defeating Miss Ronnie Mac by 5 1/4 lengths in 41.78. The Paul Stuart trained bitch has now won at her past two starts over the longer distance after running some exceptionally quick times over the 601 metres late last year.

PAT CARD ( Bernardo-It’s A Maybe) led throughout over the 520 metres to record back to back victories for trainer Kody Charles. The black dog defeated Miss Tennessee by 1 3/4 lengths in 30.06 after having won the week before in 29.82.
