“Jonah Takalua impresses at 300m debut for Hodgson”

Bernardo sired youngster Jonah Takalua relished tonight’s drop to the 300m distance. He jumped cleanly from box four and came with a strong surge to win by two lengths in a smart time of 17.28. Noted speedster Nitro’s Izzy set the pace from box six but couldn’t hold out Jonah Takalua who had more energy and speed throughout. Cathy’s Girl finished strongly for second and Nitro’s Izzy held on for third. Jonah Takalua is trained by Tayzha Hodgson and has now won 3 of 14 career starts.
