“Graham Ellis trains a Quinella at Mandurah”

Southern River based trainer Graham Ellis ‘saddled up’ two runners in tonight’s All Torque Engineering Grade 4 over 300m. Speedster Sweetie Pie set the pace from box five and kennel-mate Round Up settled on her coat tails from box two. Turning for home the Ellis Quinella looked safe but Sweetie Pie left the rail which allowed Round Up to zoom through and prevail. She scored by one length in a smart 17.12 over Sweetie Pie and another length away third was Freespool. Graham Ellis has enjoyed lots of training success in the past with the likes of Ruby’s Chapta (15 wins), Soul’s Glory (14 wins), Oxley King (13 wins), El Perro (10 wins) and Asa Torpedo (8 wins).

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 3 Number 2 GLOW GIRL : Was only beaten three lengths by Sunset Buckles and stuck on well.

Race 5 Number 7 ALL IN KNOTS : Had to regroup a couple of times but won nicely in the end against some handy types.
