“Roamin’ Around breaks through for an overdue and deserved victory”

Honest sprinter Roamin’ Around snapped a losing sequence of 14 when she took out tonight’s Thursdays At Mandurah Country Novice over 300m. The daughter of My Redeemer hit the lead just before straightening and was headed fifty metres from the line before battling back to win by a head in 17.61. Rocket Launcher was defeated narrowly and two lengths away in third position was 60/1 rank outsider Tricep King. Roamin’ Around is trained out of Southern River by Jade McPherson and had been a minor placegetter at her last 9 starts over 300m at the Mandurah circuit. She is owned by Ian McPherson and has now started 33 times for 3 wins and 14 minor placings.
